With over 36 years’ experience in the industry, Andrew Wilkins is the company’s pension expert, specialising in structuring and administering a wide range of pension schemes. His depth and range of experience has led to widespread demand for his expertise, and Andrew has regularly contributed to discussion on pension issues on BBC Radio 4.

Andrew’s career in the financial services industry goes back to the early 1960s, when he began in the sector with Norwich Union Life & Pensions, and later moved on to Scottish Widows. Earning his Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute later in the decade, he was appointed a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in mid-1970s.

After a further 25 years as an Independent Financial Advisor with Ernest R Shaw Limited in Birmingham, Andrew joined Philip T English International Financial Services Ltd in 1997. He was subsequently appointed to the company’s Board of Directors and although he has since relinquished this position through partial retirement, he remains the linchpin of the company’s pensions department.

Andrew’s partial retirement has allowed him to indulge in the other main interests and passions of his life; his two young grandsons and photography and, although no longer a professional commentator and presenter, he still retains his enthusiasm for motor sports.
